ABC News article on polyamory
"Some See Polyamorous Marriage as the Next Civil Rights Movement"
From the article: "We are the next generation after the gay and transgender communities."
Next civil rights movement? Call me a repressed poly, but if this is going to set back legal recognition (and overall social acceptance) of gay marriage then I want no part of it.

Then again, I sound like a lot of gay people I knew 25 years ago. "I'm not asking to get married, I just want to not get gay-bashed. Is that too much to ask?"
If we become a big issue in the freedom of love/marriage fight somewhere down the road, it'll be because we'll have worked to become more visible and as a result the public will have started to realize that we're not a threat to anybody. It won't suddenly happen because they stopped treating gays as second-class citizens.
It's all about timing. Now is definitely not the time.

I just agree with everyone on it- it's just not a good time yet. It'll happen tho!
