Err...right

So I've just finished watching American Idol:  Seattle.

*cringe*

They just had to pick the worst of the worst, didn't they?

I think they picked some pretty good singers to the second round though. However... now that I think of it, Seattle is one of the cities with the highest population of drug-users.

It wasn't as much of a trainwreck as it was for Minneapolis though. Those people just wierded me out.

So the day they did that was pouring down rain outside, absolutely misereable. People were camped out in line the night before to audition. When morning came they walked up and down the lines of hundreds of people having them hollar, dance sing and do all sorts of things for hours. By the time that they made it in to audition, everyone was worn out, sick and losing their voices.

I am guessing they do this everywhere so that people look as bad as possible.

Well, that and they deliberately pick the best and some of the worst/weirdest to actually perform. I could have sworn I recognized a couple of them.

Last year Adrienne's step-cousin, Katherine McPhee, made it to second place on that show. The question came up whether either of us was going to sit down and watch it again this year, and the answer was a unanimous "F**k no!"

So did I - I haven't laughed that much at the TV in weeks.

On the downside, there is no way I am ever going to do a vocal audition. I like my schadenfreude vicarious, thanks.
