Living in unincorporated King County (where mom lives) means that fireworks are legal. Every year on the 4th, people would buy their big packs of legal explosives and set them off.

And every year, some inconsiderate fuck would still be setting them off long after midnight-at which point it is no longer the 4th. There are people who have jobs, dammit! Some of us have to work in the morning!

This year...I live in a city that has banned fireworks. And this year I slept well.

Alas, Seattle has banned fireworks but somehow people still manage to detonate sticks of dynamite in the hours.

Probably young boys with shrinkage are responsible.

It's illegal here, but there've been fireworks off and on for days now. :P

Tonight they're dropping the little illegal ones in dumpsters. (rolls eyes) tomorrow AM is trash pickup day... from the sound of it, there's been a lot of big messes made, and possibly a fire or two.
