Animals have been doing that for ages...
Particularly the ones who are actually close to the owners (like a specific person's pet).

I like the book called "The Psychic Pet." Talks all about interesting stuff animals tend to notice before us dunderhead humans.

Imagine you are old and in a home. It is night time. You have finally stopped your busy social day of checkers and quilting and have settled down with a good book. Then DEATH CAT jumps in your lap and starts purring. Oh shit! Now what do you do? You decide to try and shoo Death Cat off, but you know cats...you keep trying and trying, and then have a stroke due to stress and exertion. Death cat strikes again!
