There is nothing louder than a hungry cat at 6am.

Oh, yeah?

Ours were fixed...well, long before I became part of their household.

Yes, but does the cat in heat come to the bed and scratch you repeatedly in the face making sure you're awake?

Mine always licked my face instead. Of course, when a creature has a tongue the texture of moist sandpaper...

I was tempted to let her win and just get up.

Besides, how do you install a snooze button on a cat?

By installing a "make sure the food bowl is full before you go to bed" on the owner.

One of those auto-feeders that spill out one half cup rations at regular intervals...

...and whaddya MEAN a snooze button! Dang, yer more geeky than me, and I am SO jealous... a snooze button on the cat? I just figured ouyt where the BATTERIES go....

The reference to batteries would be less disturbing if a certain incident in Enumclaw had never, ever happened.

(Falls over laughing!!)

Yes... oh gawd...

I used to have a button I wore- it was REALLY small, with small letters, so people would have to get up REALLY close to read it. (increasing their startle-reflex or laughter when they 'got' it... of course. I was a naughty thing.) and it read: "What do you MEAN it's a real cat?? I just figured out where the batteries go!!"

Oh yeah. I know. I was bad... and I don't know as I have gotten much better, now that you mention it. (insert sound of feet running away FAST)

Oh man... how many people have read THAT? (grins hugely, as we both obviously have!) ...and for ten extra points, do they know what movie it birthed? ;)

I still has SOME geekiness in here. ;)

Yeah, I kind of enjoyed the movie more than the book, which is rare for a movie based off of a book. Still, the movie did not include the element to which we are both referring. However, I would like to play the old computer game based off the franchise sometime, since it is described as combining elements from both the book and the movie.

Wow... I honestly didn't know there was a game. :o It's a PC game, I assume? (perhaps wrongly....) I never noticed they had one. :o

I actually liked the book and the movie as if they were totally seperate entities. I thought they resembled one another almost not at all, and yet- there's that exact same story, and sometimes the exact same lines! ...but yes... I wonder how they'd do with a Remake. >:)

It could get scary, considering.

Yeah, PC. It was made ten years ago, but you can probably find copies on eBay. Here is the trailer they released:

Maybe I should search for a copy myself...

No Shit!

One of the side features of sleeping on the futon in the guest room is that you get to play doorman to the cats all friggin night long.

The scratching on the door isn't loud, but it's persistent.
